When you inquire about a dog, the following questions might be helpful:

1. Why are you giving up your dog?

2. Has the dog ever bitten, nipped or 'gone after' anyone?

3. Does it have any health problems? Who is your vet? May I contact him/her?

4. Where did you get the dog? Does it have papers?

5. Does your dog have any training? Is it housebroken? crate trained?

6. Is the dog left alone for long periods? What does it do? Bark? Dig? Chew? Is it an inside or outside dog? Where does it sleep?

7. How does the dog behave with adults, children? Other dogs? Cats?

8. Is your dog mellow? calm? energetic? protective? affectionate?

Hi, my name is Rita (Margarita), and my brother is Rico (Rico Suave). We are siblings, born on April 6, 2019. I am close to 70 pounds, and my brother Rico is 75 pounds. I am spayed and microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and I have received flea/tick heart worm prevention regularly. A few months ago I had a three week stay at Shamrock Ranch Kennels in Pacifica. My mom said it was a vacation, but it was a lot of work! I had intensive training and I learned a lot of new things. My mom was so proud when I got home. She said I was very well behaved and I was like a completely different pup! I feel the same, but I like to respond to the new commands I learned, like "come", "sit", "stay", "off", "leave it", and "heel". I still don't respond every single time, but mom says we are working on that. I love going to the dog park and playing with the big dogs! We have so much fun! I'm not sure about small dogs and cats, because I like to play rough, and mom says they don't like that. I love children, especially bigger kids who can learn how to control me when I get a little excited. I am very friendly and social, but I have a lot of energy and I require lots of exercise every day. I require a large yard, with lots of space to run around. I like to go on car rides, but please don't leave me alone in the car. I like to sleep in my crate at night. I am very adventurous and inquisitive, and I love to jump and play! My mom tries to remind me that not everyone likes to be jumped on, so I am working on remembering that. I would like my brother, Rico, to join me in my new home, but we understand that we may be separated. Sometimes he drives me crazy actually. I'm excited to make some new friends, and find my forever family.
