When you inquire about a dog, the following questions might be helpful:

1. Why are you giving up your dog?

2. Has the dog ever bitten, nipped or 'gone after' anyone?

3. Does it have any health problems? Who is your vet? May I contact him/her?

4. Where did you get the dog? Does it have papers?

5. Does your dog have any training? Is it housebroken? crate trained?

6. Is the dog left alone for long periods? What does it do? Bark? Dig? Chew? Is it an inside or outside dog? Where does it sleep?

7. How does the dog behave with adults, children? Other dogs? Cats?

8. Is your dog mellow? calm? energetic? protective? affectionate?

Meet Honey! A sweet young, ~3yo female, German Shepherd looking for her forever home. I found Honey roaming the streets with no tag or microchip & extremely underweight 12/24/22 and she has remained my foster. I am located in Sacramento, CA.

She currently lives with two GSDs & two indoor cats, but has resource guarding issues in regards to her human when my own dogs approach. This is something we are working on and she is vastly improved, but may do best in a single dog household. Honey is great with people and cats! She has not had any interaction with children as she lives in an adult only home.

Honey is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, & on heartworm & flea prevention. She has put on 10+ lbs and looks great! Honey loves walks and will happily settle on a dog bed. She also tethers on her dog bed and relaxes quickly. She is crated at night and during the day, with only a little bit of whining! She does have quite a bit to say when I leave for work, but seems to quiet down quickly.

If you are interested in meeting Honey, please let me know!
