Our Process
Our adoption process is designed to help you and the right dog find each other. Our goal is to place each dog into a permanent, safe, and loving home.
Your First Step to Fur-ever
Complete an Adoption Questionnaire
Step 2 – Let’s Talk!
After receiving your application you’ll be contacted by an adoption counselor.
Step 3 – Home Visit
A GSRNC adoption counselor will conduct a home visit to ensure you have a safe space for your new pet, and discuss which dogs will work best in your home. If you rent, you’ll need a Landlord Permission Agreement which will be provided to you.
Choose, and be chosen by, the right dog.

Adoption Fees Waived
The average cost for caring for our dogs, including shelter fees, spaying/neutering, veterinary care, boarding and feeding exceeds $1,000 per dog. In an attempt to rescue more dogs, from Aug 1, 2025 to Jan 31, 2026 we will waive all adoptions fees.
