Redwood City Adoption Day

May 9 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

The following dogs are scheduled to attend this Adoption Day.

Females Attending

Akira is a delight through and through: All 80 pounds of her. Her main goal in life is to be a good companion and attached to her people. She is a puppy at heart; she gleefully plays ball games and prances around the yard and even plays nicely with some other pups. Her on- leash work needs some refinement but she listens and verbal corrections are usually enough. She is a calm, easy going dog who greets people gently and appropriately and is not reactive with other dogs unless provoked. Akira has moderate prey drive, as observed with squirrels, birds and rabbits. Read more…

Charley is a normal puppy with normal puppy behavior. Charley is not aggressive in any way, and loves to snuggle in various pretzel positions. She responds well to being in her crate with a nice soft bone, and can sit nicely while being presented with her food. She takes treats nicely. Charley plays well with her two foster siblings, and takes direction from them appropriately. She likes toys and plays with them, but does not yet seek them out. Read more…

Mira‘s fosters describe her as a wonderful, affectionate companion, who is playful, curious, and loyal. She is good in the house and able to be left alone for several hours without making any kind of mess or noise. She sleeps on her bed at night. She is curious with strangers and joyful with children. She can be a little excited around other dogs. She has good basic obdience skills and is ready to find her new home. Read more…

Males Attending

Phoenix is a sweet little guy, recovered from being parvo positive. He is working on crate and potty training. He likes people and greets nicely without jumping. He spent his first 5 weeks being fostered with his brother Ranger. Then it was decided that they needed to seperated to avoid bonding too much with each other.  He’s new to being on leash but is interested in the world and not frightened by it. He joined us at our Annual Meeting where everyone got some puppy time. He’ll need a home dedicated to training, because all the GSDs need that.

Scar is a handsome, 1-1/2 year old, 90+ lb lap dog. He is well-behaved in the house, potty-trained, and can be left alone loose for a few hours (so far). He rides well in the car, barks only occasionally, and only chews on his toys. He has knowledge of the commands: “come”, “sit’, ‘down”, “out”, “leash’, and knows his name. He is enthusiastic and gentle with adults, even strangers. He hasn’t met many children yet. Read more…
